Chamonix, known as the global hub of mountaineering, is situated at the base of Europe’s highest peak, Mont-Blanc (4,810 m). This captivating town attracts mountain enthusiasts from around the world and offers a plethora of attractions.
At arrival in Chamonix, the impressive cable car leads you at the top of the Aiguille du Midi at an altitude of 3,700 m, treating yourself to an exceptional panoramic view of Mont-Blanc. The terraces at the summit offer a breathtaking 360° vista of the French, Swiss, and Italian Alps.
On afternoon, the tiny red Cogwheel Mountain Train take 20′ to Montenvers station at an altitude of 1,913 m. and where you can marvel at the famous Mer de Glace (Sea of Ice), a significant testament to the ongoing climate changes.
